Traffic Diversion on 26 July at Tuas Second Link Due to Singapore-Malaysia Bilateral Chemical Spill Exercise

Singapore and Malaysia will be conducting a biennial bilateral chemical spill emergency response exercise at the Tuas Second Link on 26 July 2023, from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. The exercise will simulate a road traffic accident involving a lorry carrying chemicals, leading to a chemical spill on the road.

During the exercise, there will be traffic diversion in effect from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Tuas Second Link. Motorists are urged to follow the directions of the traffic marshals on-site. It is advisable to avoid the Tuas Second Link area while the exercise is underway.

For real-time traffic updates, tune in to the Singapore radio stations. Please note that this exercise is part of emergency preparedness efforts and there is no cause for alarm.

新加坡国家环境局(NEA)与马来西亚环境部(DOE)将于2023年7月26日星期三在第二通道 (Tuas Second Link) 举行一年一度的双边化学泄漏应急演习,时间为上午6时至下午2时。

该演习将模拟一起涉及一辆载有化学品的卡车与其他车辆在第二通道发生的道路交通事故,导致道路上发生化学泄漏。特此通告公众,请大家不要惊慌。

预计于2023年7月26日上午6时至下午2时实施交通改道,请各位司机紧密遵循现场交通警察的指示。

同时也建议司机在演习进行时避免前往第二通道区域。大家可以收听新加坡广播电台获取交通相关公告。
